along Rt. 21 going towards Cohocton, one of the prettiest stretches of road in Ontario County - every so often I catch it on a day like this with fast moving clouds shifting the light patterns between the rippling mini hills (my photos don't do it justice)

along Sunnyside Drive, a back road side route I take sometimes - often these fields are full of deer - on this day it was full of butterflies

During the drive home along Rt. 245, the best road in the county to take during sunset - a last glimpse (through a dirty windshield) of such an incredibly gorgeous evening I could have taken photos during the entire drive (but was too tired)

re-planting peonies in new dirt, so hopefully those leaves will have more green next year:

Ghosts

We took a Sunday drive on back roads up into the foggy hills...


At the same time we stumbled across this old abandoned schoolhouse next to a triangular intersection (where 3 roads met), two motorcyclists emerged from the fog on one road and disappeared into the fog on another road - we joked that it felt like we were in an old French film


A plaque on the front read "Block School | Dist. 12 | 1839 - 1935"
